The Research & Development area of the SynCo Group develops material technologies and processes with an emphasis on practical applications in industry. We recognise that materials such as graphene, synthetic sapphire, optical garnet and hydrogen torches can help across multiple sectors. We are also focusing on weak-field electronics. We combine expertise, development, testing and collaborations to take ideas to pilot production and commercial deployment.

Single crystal research
The know-how of Crystal Tech and AT Crystals in Žilina allows to grow doped large-dimensional single crystals with control of selected properties (e.g. impurities, dislocations, quality of crystal structure...).
Uses of graphene
GrafenTech uses a unique type of pyrolysis to utilize bio-based graphene for filters, coatings, lightweight composite materials and battery anodes.
Microelectronics for batteries
In international cooperation with a subsidiary in Serbia, we develop innovative circuitry for optimizing battery storage and increasing its capacity.
Waste treatment
We are developing a cyclone furnace and a hydrogen immersion burner for heavy waste and aerosol disposal.
